Thermal treatment of shale and control systems for gas generator stations Gas Generator Station No. 5 (16 gas generators) The control system of the Viru RMT gas generator station (GGJ-5) has been constantly evolving over the past 50 years. At first, a UM 1 computer was applied to the control system, later replaced by a more powerful SM 1800, eventually replaced by the SM 4. In 2004, a complete modernization of the system was carried out, a transition to a diffuse technical structure where each gas generator was connected to its programmable controller W 8734. The control algorithms were updated and the quality of the process control improved, achieving significantly higher operating efficiency. The system consists of 19 programmable controllers, 4 industrial computers, a database computer (Sybase) and a network printer that regularly issues reports.

1000-tonne gas generator (High Power Gas Generator) The original automatic control system was created in 1993 in the SM 1800 electron computer, but in 2001 the system was completely transferred to three programmable controllers I 7188. The visualization was supported by the SCADA system TraceMode, through which the data exchange via the RS-485 interface took place. With the modernization of the 1000 ton gas generator system, the reliability of the generator was increased, especially the repair intervals, which resulted in the system paying its investments in 8 months.

Gas Generator Station No. 3 (16 gas generators) The first control system using Siemens controllers was installed in 1991. The Simatic S5-95 controller and visualization using the Delphi 3 user program were used. In 1999, the system was moved forward into development by replacing the Simatic S5-95 with the S7-200 controller and adding 18 microcontrollers Logo to target generator loads and transfer data. System development work and history are stored in a local database and the system is connected to the VKG Energy Intranet to transfer all process data.

Gas Generator Station No. 4 (20 gas generators) The GGJ-4 control system is built on four Unitronics controllers and three industrial computers. Visualization is supported by SCADA systems Intouch and TraceMode, MS SQL is used for database management. All technological data is archived and issued according to user requests.

Heavy and light-medium oil preparation device Used Amafilter technology with control system on controller S7-300. The device is a hybrid system where part of the process display takes place on Siemens graphic panels. The oil distillation unit of the VKG Oil generator for shale oils and chemistry has been modernized by KG Process Innovations technology from 2005 to 2006. The control system consists of three Simatic S7-300 controllers, SCADA systems WINCC and TraceMode, data management is carried out in the Sybas database.

Dephenolizing unit The VKG Oil defenolization unit cleans the phenol-containing water generated at the generator stations to the level of the pharmaceutical industry. The control system is based on I7000 modules, NE-1600 controller and BTC-9300 electronic regulators. The information is transmitted from the SCADA system to the TRACE Mode 5 industrial computer, where the entire process accounting takes place.

Electrode Coke Unit The device produces electrode coke using evaporation of distillation residues. The control system is built on Unitronics controllers and WinCon controller, the process runs in 11 steps where each transition is controlled accurately to avoid emergencies. Visualization is carried out with the SCADA system TRACE Mode, process data is transmitted to the SQL Server 2005 database.

Final fabrication and loading of shale oils The final preparation device for shale oils uses an automated control system to control the loading of raw materials and the output of production. Production preparation, dosing and mixing are automated. Special level control sensors and Profibus network actuator mechanisms are used. The control system consists of 14 Unitronics controllers, a Simatic S7-300 controller and five industrial computers, the visualization is carried out in SCADA systems TRACE Mode.

North SEJ boilers VKG Energy North SEJ boiler inspection system No. 5 was redeployed to modernization in the course of the fuel modification of the boiler to use low-calorie gas. The system is built on WINCON controllers and BTC 9300 electron regulators. Visualization and interfacing with the operator are controlled by three computers in the SCADA system TraceMode. Boiler No. 8 control systems are structured using Mitsubishi and Moeller controllers, as well as the system SCADA system TraceMode to manage all process control tasks.

VKG Energy North SEJ turbine control The turbine control system is structured on the basis of WINCON controllers with additional microcontrollers for parameter monitoring and control. Process visualization and data exchange in SCADA systems TraceMode.

All systems are structured to ensure quality and reliability, visualization, process management and data exchange function smoothly to ensure reliable and efficient operation across all devices and systems.
