Welding is one of the most important operations in the process of production of metal structures. Our specialists have developed and are using a large number of welding procedures (WPS) and qualification processes (PQR).
The works are performed by experienced and highly qualified welders, who hold qualifications in accordance with the standard EN 287.
We do welding of stainless and carbon steel (including HARDOX), with different wall thickness.
Different welding technologies are used: MIG/MAG, SAW, TIG, ММА as well as different welding techniques: manual, semi-automatic, and submerged-arc welding.
The technologies and equipment that we use allow to do welding not only in the rooms of industrial facilities, but also in the field and during installation.
The works are carried out in accordance with the quality management standard ISO 9001:2008. Viru RMT has got: welding engineering certificate 3834-2; general tolerances for carrying out operations: ISO 2768, EN ISO 13920, EN ISO 9013. Welding is done in accordance with:
- Arc-welded joints in steel – Guidelines on quality levels for imperfections EN 25817, class С.
- Pressure equipment directive 97/23/ЕС.
- Specification and qualification of welding procedures for metallic materials ISO 15614-1:2004.
Welding procedures have been certified in accordance with ISO 9001:2008 and 3834-2 by TÜV.
The quality of the welding that we do is checked visually, by carrying out non-destructive testing (NDT), by means of magnetic particle and ultrasound methods as well as by using penetrants.
